Simple, stylish and ethically sourced, these natural wooden bowls originate from Bến Tre in the Mekong Delta, hailed as the coconut region of Vietnam. Typically harvested for their milks and oils, the shells are traditionally burned and discarded once their contents have been removed.

Using the shells to create natural bowls is a practical and environmentally friendly way to utilise existing resources, whilst providing a much-needed secondary income for local farmers and artisans. 

The shells are handpicked for their size, thickness and colour. The husk is removed and they are sanded inside and out to create a beautiful smooth effect, then polished using organic virgin coconut oil to give them a distinctive shine.

How to Care for your Wooden Bowl Set

Coco shell bowls are best suited to cold or lukewarm food, such as smoothies, salads and Buddha bowls. Hot food may cause the shell to expand and crack.

Hand wash only. Not dishwasher or microwave safe.

Polish to restore if the outside becomes dry and slightly rough. Use a damp dish cloth and gently rub with a spoonful of virgin coconut oil, linseed or flaxseed oil.
