Natural Loofah | Organic Exfoliator
Natural Exfoliating Loofah
Natural loofahs are often portrayed as the remains of a marine creature, but they are actually the fibrous flesh of the luffa plant. Luffas are vigorous annual vines and belong to the gourd family, so related to cucumbers, squashes, melons and watermelons.
Loofahs are non-abrasive, yet tough on dirt. They are perfect as a sponge for washing your face or body, and their coarse, granular surface also makes them excellent exfoliators. Just rub your loofah gently over your skin in the shower to remove dead skin cells and restore your skin’s natural glow.
Your loofah can also be used as a household cleaning tool. Use it to scrub your dishes, hardwood furniture or floor tiles. You can even chop it into smaller pieces and use to clean pots and pans! The organic, fibrous tissue is absorbent and sponge-like, and great at soaking up liquids, while its granular surface is perfect for scouring tough stains.
